Sony just released the newest version of their wireless active noise canceling headphones. In this video, we give you our Sony WH-1000XM3 unboxing first impressions. Ultimately, this is a call to action for our viewers and readers. We’re currently testing the WH-1000XM3 and would love your feeback. What questions do you have about the Sony WH-1000XM3? Please leave a comment here or on our YouTube video and we’ll answer your questions in our full review. If you haven’t seen our full wireless ANC headphones shootout, please check it out here.

Our Sony WH-1000XM3 unboxing first impressions: it’s not tremendously different than the previous generation (WH-1000XM2). They did add a few things that may be worth the upgrade — USB-C, quick charging, better soundstage, better noise cancelation. They completely missed on other standard features — can’t use while charging, no multi-device connectivity, terrible call quality.

Lastly, we disassembled the headband to find out if they made improvements to it. We didn’t include this in our Sony WH-1000XM3 unboxing first impressions video, but we’ll discuss this at length in our final review of these headphones. They’ve completely redesigned the headband to eliminate the cracking that affected the first two generations of these headphones. The plastic fits together better and the hinge/socket is reinforced to prevent cracking. We know a lot of people want to know more about this, so we’ll be demonstrating the headband improvements in our full review video.
