In the information below, I’ll briefly explain what Monster Storage does and what you’ll need to do to get the most out of the world download. This is the Best Minecraft Mega Storage World Download for 1.21.11+ because it has great performance (with the mods), excellent organization, and functionality that will help you automate everything in Minecraft. We’re now on version 3 of Monster Storage! In addition to the changes from version 2 (better performance, fewer hoppers, shulker box bulk storage, and an updated crafting level), this version includes a Copper Golem sorter for every non-stackable item in Minecraft!

Speaking of organization, I’d highly recommend that you check out the spreadsheet I put together as a supplement to the world download. In that sheet, I’ve included a full list of every color coded category (hallway) in Monster Storage. It also tells you where every item lives in the Monster Storage building. You could even use the spreadsheet as a reference to track your item acquisition progress. Select “File > Make a Copy” to duplicate it to your Google account. I’ve also updated the spreadsheet to include documentation for all the filter chests in the Copper Golem non-stackable item sorter. Watch the Copper Golem video if you haven’t already!

Note: if you want to use Monster Storage in older versions of Minecraft, it is possible, but requires additional work.

Monster Storage v3 Features

Burly’s Copper Golem Non-stackable Item Sorter

Burly’s Copper Golem Non-stackable Item Sorter is the new addition for version 3 of Monster Storage. It sorts the 365 obtainable non-stackable items (as of Java 1.21.11) by using an innovative Copper Golem design that you can find in the basement of Monster Storage. You can also download the schematics for this build if you’d like to use it separately from Monster Storage – or if you need to add it to your version 2 build. It’s modular!

For this build, Burly created a new chest layout and a new non-stackable Redstone filter chest design that will allow the Copper Golems to automatically sort every non-stackable item in the game efficiently and with very little impact to performance. Sadly, to do this, the Copper Golems are hidden within the design. That’s the price we have to pay. You’re more than welcome to download the schematic and adapt the design to your needs. But, you’ll definitely want to check out the spreadsheet to understand how all the filter chests work.

This part of the build is far more complicated than the previous Redstone functionality in Monster Storage, so please understand a few things before you use it. Copper Golems can’t sort non-stackable items at hopper speed. So don’t dump thousands of non-stackable items into the storage system at the same time. The same consideration should be made for dumping hundreds of the same non-stackable item into the system at once – don’t do it. Either of these scenarios could clog the Copper Golem sorter and break things. If you run into an issue, just reach out to Burly in the discord.

Recommended Performance Mods and Tools

In order to get the best performance out of Monster Storage, you need to install some performance mods. This build is massive and will make your computer cry (without these mods). I’m also including a couple utility mods to help you get the build running on your world. Here’s the list of mods I’ve compiled that I recommend when using this system. Since I exclusive play with the Fabric loader for the best performance, all of the mods listed here are for Fabric. Many are available for other mod loaders, but Fabric is what I personally recommend.

A note on Client vs. Server mods: some mods are Client-only and won’t have any benefit if they’re installed on a server. Some mods are made for Servers but will also benefit your performance if you’re playing in Minecraft in single player. In the list below: single players should install all (Client), (Server), and (Server/Client) mods. Multiplayer servers should install all (Server) and (Server/Client) mods. Multiplayer client instances that connect to an optimized multiplayer server should install all (Client) mods.

Helpful Operator (OP) Commands and Settings

So you’ve decided to download the Best Minecraft Mega Storage World Download for 1.21.11+. Now, you’re wondering how to use it. I’m making the assumption that you already know how to create a new Minecraft instance and copy the world download into your Minecraft world. If not, check out this page. If you’re wanting to use Monster Storage on a server, you’ll have to use your own Google-Fu to figure that out. There are too many ways to host a Minecraft server for me to make a recommendation here. When using Monster Storage on a server, I highly recommend modifying this setting in your server.properties file to let Monster Storage sort when none of your players are online.

You also need to make sure that the Monster Storage building is forceloaded with operator commands or has chunkloaders running so it continues to function when you’re exploring the world. To use the forceload command:

1. Look at the ground where you’re standing and type “/forceload add”
2. Press the tab key once to auto-populate the first chunk coordinate
3. Press the enter key
4. Go to the opposite corner of the build, look at the ground, press the up key once to recall the previous command
5. Press the tab key to auto-populate the second chunk coordinate
6. Press the enter key

The final command should look like this:

/forceload add “first chunk coordinate” “second chunk coordinate”

Litematica Schematic Instructions (Recommended)

Once you’ve downloaded the Litematica schematic, place it in your Litematica schematics folder which can be found here: Minecraft Instance > schematics. Load your world with the Litematica mod installed. You can use this schematic to build Monster Storage block-by-block or for pasting the build into your world.

But Wait!

If you want paste the whole build using Litematica (not the block-by-block method that Litematica is known for), it will not work with the default Litematica paste settings!

To paste everything correctly, you need to have the Servux mod installed, then open the Litematica settings. Under the Generic tab, you need to scroll down to “placeNbtRestoreBehavior” and set it to “Place & Data Modify.” I’ve included a screenshot of the Litematica settings for reference.

Once you have Servux installed, and that setting enabled, you can paste the build. If you are unfamiliar with how to paste full builds using Litematica, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that can show you how. Pasting the build without doing these two things will break it. Especially on servers. Join the discord if you have questions about pasting with Litematica.

WorldEdit Schematic Instructions (Less Reliable)

Once you’ve downloaded the WorldEdit schematic, place it in your WorldEdit schematic folder which can be found here: Minecraft Instance > config > worldedit > schematics. Load your world using Fabric and the Carpet / WorldEdit mods installed. Then, run this command to ensure the Redstone pastes properly with the schematic:

/carpet setDefault fillUpdates false

Warning! If you don’t run this command before pasting the schematic, the Redstone will break. Next, you can load the schematic into memory with this command:

//schem load “schematic name”

Then you need to position yourself about 20 blocks in the air where you want to paste the Monster Storage build and run this command:

//paste -e

If you don’t like where it ended up, WorldEdit has an easy undo command:

//undo

If you want to rotate the direction of the Monster Storage build, just run this command and try pasting it again. You can rotate 90, 180, or 270 degrees at a time.

//rotate 90 0 0

Once you’re satisfied with the placement of your Monster Storage building, set fillUpdates back to true with this carpet command:

/carpet setDefault fillUpdates true

Then you need to do the final Redstone checks. I do this in spectator mode so I can fly around the build quickly. But the main place to check is the shulker unloading room. Even with the Carpet mod settings correctly configured and using the correct paste command with WorldEdit, I have seen instances of the shulker unloaders being broken after the paste. It doesn’t happen every time, but it does happen. If you want a safer pasting method, use Litematica. Otherwise head to the shulker unloading room and read all the signs to make sure the Redstone is placed correctly. It’s also worth checking the Redstone signs for the pre-filters in the ingest room. Basic things you’ll want to check: rails, comparators, and Redstone (blocks/dust).

Using Monster Storage in Older Versions of Minecraft

Monster Storage will work on older versions of Minecraft, but you have to do some manual changes before trying to put items into the system. The main thing is that you can’t run the system on older versions until you find all the hopper filters with missing items. If you’re building it block-by-block, this doesn’t matter — you’ll have to add the hopper filter items in manually anyways.

As of Monster Storage version 3, the Copper Golem non-stackable sorter will not work without serious modifications to versions 1.21.8-10. Simply put: I would recommend that you update to version 1.21.11 instead of running an older version. Obviously, since Copper Golems didn’t exist in version prior to 1.21.8, the Copper Golem addon will not work in older versions. You can still use the rest of Monster Storage, but would need to substitute a non-stackable storage silo for the Copper Golem system.

Older versions also become an issue when you paste the build into a world (the cheating way) or when you downgrade the version of the Java World Download. Litematica and WorldEdit allow you to retain entities and items depending on how you paste the build (you can just paste the structure without the entities/items as well). On older versions, items that don’t exist yet will disappear from the hopper filters when pasted. This breaks the hopper filters for every chest silo with a newer item and that will ultimately break the hopper transport loop. If you put items into the system before fixing the hopper filters, they’ll just end up in the first empty filter’s silo and clog the system from there.

To fix this, you’d have to compare the latest version of Minecraft to whatever version you’re using, find the stackable items that have been added in the later updates, find them in the build (you can use the spreadsheet as reference), and add placeholder items to the hopper filters before putting items into the ingest chests. Once the missing items have been replaced by placeholder items, everything should work normally.

If you want to use this in versions before 1.21, you can… but the automatic crafting won’t work because those Redstone contraptions use copper bulbs and the crafter block (which were added in 1.21). The shulker loaders/unloaders should work several main versions back (I’m not sure how far).

Monster Storage Frequently Asked Questions

• Why does it sound like my items are burning in lava?

  • Sadly, Minecraft uses the same sound for items burning in lava as Redstone torches burning out. Since the ingest chests use a custom, double Redstone torch burnout glitch dropper system for faster item transportation, that’s the sound you’re hearing… not lava.

• Why do the subtitles say “Dispenser Failed”?

  • Well, it’s wrong. They’re droppers, and they’re not failing. The Redstone for the input chests actually fire four droppers at the same time on the same circuit. This is for speed and space efficiency. If any of the four droppers try to drop without an item to drop, the subtitles will show this.

• Do I need chunkloaders?

  • Yes, unless you forceload the chunks of the sorting system. Ultimately, the system is too large to keep everything loaded unless you’re standing in the middle of the build at all times. So it’s best to keep the chunks loaded. Do you need a perimeter? No. But it wouldn’t hurt to light up the caves under the build to reduce lag.

• Why do I need chunkloaders?

  • So the storage system can sort while you’re not in it – and so your items don’t despawn. Monster storage uses water and hopper transportation lines. In general, items shouldn’t despawn in either type of transportation line, but I wouldn’t trust my netherite to that. So it’s best to keep the chunks loaded.

• Do I have to use Fabric/Mods?

  • Nope. Some of the performance mods are compatible with forge/neoforge/quilt, but Fabric+Modrinth has been my go-to loader/launcher for many years. I prefer it, but there’s no real restriction outside of personal preference. You can use Monster Storage with vanilla Minecraft if that’s your preference. The performance will suffer. I have no affiliation with Fabric, Modrinth, or any of the mod developers.

• Are the vault doors necessary for each hallway?

  • If you’re building it yourself, you certainly don’t need to include the vault doors. It only makes a small difference with entity culling and visible chests. So they can be skipped or removed if you’d prefer to go without them.

• Where is the building in the world download?

  • The coordinates are 1690, 63, -1343.

• I broke the Copper Golem non-stackable sorter, what do I do?

  • Everything is documented in the spreadsheet. It’s best to remove the top hopper directly below each filter chest before you fix the filter chests. The spreadsheet has the default Redstone signal values and layouts for each filter chest. Replicate that and then replace the hoppers. Test and check.

• Can I customize the Copper Golem non-stackable sorter?

  • Sure, but you really need to understand MIS (multi-item sorting) to do that. Burly will eventually have a tutorial on the MIS concepts included in the Copper Golem sorter. It’ll be linked here when it’s finished.

• When is the Bedrock version coming?

  • Soon… I hope? It’s the 1,000 sub goal for the YouTube channel. Once that happens, I’ll do what I can to make this work with Bedrock. Item transportation is harder on Bedrock because water lines don’t work the same as Java. The hopper filters should be fine, but the crafting/shulker loading and unloading may be different (or not there at all) due to Bedrock Redstone limitations. It’s not necessarily a simple transition.

Welcome to Monstercraft’s Minecraft Best Gear Enchantments guide for the 1.21.5 update. Here we’ll cover all the best gear enchantments for your armor, weapons, and tools. Becoming the most powerful player in the world can be very expensive. Firstly, you’ll need to gather lots of wood, diamonds, and ancient debris to make your gear. Secondly, you’ll need enough experience to enchant all of it. Before we dive into the specific enchantments, let’s talk about the easiest way to acquire and enchant your gear.

Villager breeding and trading is the best source of gear in the game. As you’re breeding villagers, you can train the adults to learn various professions. If you train enough villagers, you can create a villager trading hall like you’ll see in the pictures below. The Monstercraft server has enough trained villagers to acquire every piece of gear, all the enchantment books, and bottles o’ enchanting we need.

Alternatively, you can take your chances killing mobs and using the enchanting table, but the villager method is far more efficient. If you’re just starting out in the game, we highly recommend fishing and using the grindstone to disenchant gear you don’t want to earn experience. Don’t earn too much at a time, though. The xp points needed to earn levels increase exponentially. Unless you need a level 30 enchantment, it’s more effective to enchant items when you’re between 10 and 20.

Monstercraft’s Minecraft Best Gear Enchantments Guide

In the lists below, you’ll find our optimized list of Minecraft best gear enchantments. You’ll notice that we don’t use every enchantment in the game. Why? Because some of the enchantments are very situational. For example, Bane of Arthropods does extra damage to certain mobs (spiders, cave spiders, silverfish, endermites, and bees), but nothing else. So, it’s arguably better to use Fire Aspect II instead of Bane of Arthropods because it will do more damage to more mobs.

Similarly, the concept applies to tools like your pickaxe and the Silk Touch versus Fortune III enchantments. It’s better to use Silk Touch while you’re exploring. However, you should use Fortune III at your base when you’re ready to break blocks into their raw materials. We spent a lot of time making sure our gear is the best in the game. But, you’ll still want a few extra pieces of gear at your base. Let’s get to it!

Best Minecraft Armor Enchantments

• Helmet – your helmet can have up to six enchantments.
  • Aqua Affinity – increases the speed of your mining when under water.
  • Mending – allows you to repair your gear when you gain experience.
  • Protection IV – reduces the amount of damage you take from most attacks.
  • Respiration III – Allows you to stay under water longer without dying.
  • Unbreaking III – Improves the durability of items.
  • Thorns III – we don’t recommend using thorns on your normal gear because you cannot control the damage it reflects. This can unintentionally attack entities you like. If you’re going caving and want to kill everything, it may be a good idea. In that case, it should be on all your armor.
• Chestplate / Elytra – your chestplate can have up to four enchantments. We recommend the Armored Elytra datapack from Vanilla Tweaks so you can combine your chestplate and Elytra into one piece of armor.
  • Projectile Protection IV – reduces the damage you take from all projectiles.
  • Mending
  • Unbreaking III
  • Thorns III
• Leggings – your leggings can have up to four enchantments.
  • Fire Protection IV – reduces fire damage and burn time.
  • Mending
  • Unbreaking III

• Boots – your boots can have up to seven enchantments.

  • Depth Strider III – increases underwater movement speed.
